Emedastine (Emadine) is a second-generation antihistamine that is used for ophthalmic use to relieve symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis.

Emedastine (Emadine) Dose for Allergic conjunctivitis:

    • Instill one drop in the affected eye up to four times a day.

Emedastine (Emadine) Pregnancy Risk Category: B

  • Systemic absorption is very low after ophthalmic treatment.

How to administer Emedastine (Emadine)?

  • Contact lenses should be removed before administering the drug.
  • After instilling the drops, wait for about ten minutes before reinserting the contact lenses.
  • Patients with red eyes should avoid wearing contact lenses
