Urogesic Blue contains Hyoscyamine, methenamine, methylene blue, and sodium phosphate. The combination of drugs is used to relieve bladder spasm and irritation during voiding after urologic procedures.

Urinary tract symptoms:
- It is used for the treatment of symptoms of irritative voiding.
- It is also used as an antispasmodic for the relief of urinary tract symptoms caused by diagnostic procedures and for the relief of local symptoms of lower urinary tract infection like hypermotility.

Contraindications to Urogesic-Blue (Hyoscyamine, methenamine, methylene blue, and sodium phosphate):

Warnings and precautions

Belladonna alkaloid allergy:
- Patients who have a history of intolerance or intolerance to belladonna and alkaloids should be cautious.

It is administered orally with a plenty amount of fluid.
Mechanism of action of Hyoscyamine, methenamine, methylene blue, and sodium phosphate (Urogesic-Blue):
Hyoscyamine:
- Parasympatholytic drugs that relax the smooth muscles and produce an antispasmodic effects.
Methenamine:
- Hydrolysis of methenamine in acidic urine results in formaldehyde. This has both bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties.
Methylene blue:
- Methylene blue, which is a weak antiseptic solution that can be used primarily as a dye, is also known.
Monobasic sodium phosphate:
- Monobasic sodium phosphate maintains an acid pH in the urine which is necessary for the degradation of methenamine.
