- It is indicated for the treatment of patients with ulcerating oral lesions such as recurrent oral ulcers or recurrent aphthous stomatitis (canker sores).

- It is applied topically over the oral lesions. One coated applicator swab is applied over the lessons for 5 to 10 seconds.

Irritation
- Rinse with baking soda or sodium bicarbonate if you have persistent irritation. Mix one-half teaspoonful of baking soda in 120 ml (a full glass) water, and then rinse. If irritation persists, consult your healthcare provider.

How to administer Debacterol (Sulfonated phenolics)?
- It is intended for external use only. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
- Before applying the medicine, dry the oral lesions with a cotton-tipped applicator or another similar method.
- After the area is dried, apply the solution-coated applicator swab over the ulcerated lesions.
- Patients may notice a brief stinging sensation immediately after applying the medicine.
- Hold the applicator over the ulcer for 5 to 10 seconds. After applying the medicine, rinse the oral cavity with water and spit out the water.
- The stinging sensation and ulcer over the ulcerated lesion will subside immediately after the rinse.
Mechanism of action of Debacterol (Sulfonated phenolics):
It is a semiviscous fluid that can be used to provide controlled focal debridement and sterilization for necrotic tissue. It is topical antiseptic and relieves pain.
